Perù 15 agosto 2007 - dodici mesi dopo… Ica, Pisco e Chincha soffrono ancora per il terremoto

Quando gli abitanti di Ica ricordano gli istanti vissuti con il terremoto del 15 agosto 2007, i loro occhi inevitabilmente si offuscano e molti non possono non piangere.
Nessuno è risparmiato da questa esperienza nonostante il tempo trascorso, tutti hanno perso qualcosa con la violenza della natura.
Il famigliare, l’amico, il vicino o semplicemente il negoziante sotto casa, ora non esisitono più in Pisco.
Il dolore è enorme in tutta la regione, ma anche la rabbia, il malcontento e il disagio per le promesse non mantenute del governo.

Le 575 persone uccise e i più di 15oo feriti in tutta Ica, sono la prova della potente forza della natura che spazzò il paese con un terremoto di 7,9 gradi della scala Richter e che ha avuto il suo epicentro a Pisco.
Come si può dimenticare ciò che è stato vissuto? Come si può dimenticare i fedeli morti nella chiesa di San Clemente?E quando tutti speravano nell’aiuto immediato dello Stato distante dalle città colpite,due tre, al massimo quattro ore da Lima, i primi soccorritori delle vittime furono la gente comune e non chi aveva l’obbligo di farlo, loro avevano minimizzato la tragedia.

Il giorno seguente, l’aiuto del governo arrivò, un aiuto molto piccolo per l’immensa distruzione che si trovava ad affrontare.Iniziarono così, le promesse di ricostruzione, promesse che continuano ancora oggi.
Promesse a cui la popolazione non crede più e per questo, oggi, venerdi 15 agosto 2008, riempirà le strade per protestare pacificamente.

Il bilancio di quanto poco fatto o quello che resta ancora da fare per la ricostruzione, coinvolge l’autorità del governo centrale, regionale e comunale.
Oggi tocca a tutti impegnarsi per far si che la popolazione iqueños ottenga veramente l’aiuto indispensabile per la sua ricostruzione, aiuto che lo Stato non può dare perchè non ha le risorse per farlo.
